I thank my lucky stars every day that I found Mr Agrawal ! Being diagnosed with Breast Cancer is scary stuff, but from our first meeting I knew I was in the best hands possible. He is calm, kind and caring, with a nice gentle humour, and never rushes you to make a decision. He lays out the options for you to make the best decision for yourself. Also, aesthetically, hes done a marvellous job - you can barely see the scars! I decided on lumpectomy rather than mastectomy with the words 'I know I'm a wimp but...', and he actually raised his voice a bit and said 'NO, do not think that. If lumpectomy wasnt a good option for you I wouldn't have given it'. And I believe him. He is perfectly straight with you, doesnt steer away from the bad news but gives it in such a way it doesn't feel so bad. I got into a habit of always wearing the same jumper to my appointments, as i was never told anything I couldn't handle when i wore it, and viewed it as my lucky charm, but actually I think thats Mr Agrawal. I would recommend him to anyone.

Seeing Mr Agrawal changed the course of my breast cancer treatment. I was on course to have a double mastectomy based on the preliminary diagnostic assessment I had been given before seeing Mr Agrawal, but from our first consultation he reassured me that I may not need such a large operation. He arranged additional testing that I hadn't yet been offered and through his attention to detail and confidence I have now just had a lumpectomy, so my boobs have been saved! I am very happy with the surgery, scaring, hospital care at Spire Portsmouth and recovery. Mr Agrawal has been kind and caring, but also honest and clear. He has challenged my thinking but has always treated me like an intelligent human, explaining things in a way I could understand, but also without being patronising or too simplistic. He constantly asked if I or my partner had any questions, always allowed time to see us without ever feeling rushed. I could not recommend and the team he works with enough. They are professional, caring, as a patient I have felt very looked after. Nothing has been too much trouble.

I was given an appointment with Mr Agrawal just 4 days after finding a lump in my breast at the age of 86. Immediately I felt that I was in safe, professional and caring hands as initial investigations were made. Following the diagnosis of breast cancer Mr Agrawal explained the process that would follow, taking time to go through each option and giving me the opportunity to ask questions. He listened to any concerns that I had - however small - and the consultation was never rushed with the result that any stress which is inevitable in such a situation was completely mitigated. He is a charming man, very professional and an excellent communicator with a delightful sense of humour. I could not have asked for a better consultant and would recommend him to anyone in my situation. Thank you Mr Agrawal.

Having found a lump I was put under the care of Mr Agrawal. What a kind, gentle understanding consultant he is. Through the whole process I felt I was in very good hands. His answers to questions are open and concise and delivered in such a manner to reduce stress. His team in the theatre were understanding and caring throughout. I am still on the recovery route but I know I am getting the best possible care.

I have been treated and cared for by Mr Agrawal since 2020, throughout my breast cancer diagnosis, surgery, and reconstruction at QA Hospital in Portsmouth. He is always welcoming, friendly and approachable. I feel I can talk to him and ask him questions which he will take the time to answer. It takes some of the stress and apprehension away going to yet another appointment knowing I am going to see him.
